Policies + Procedures

Arrival Time

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled treatment.
As Knots `Niggles Therapy is a practitioner-run clinic, we do not have a receptionist on duty. If the door is still locked when you arrive at the clinic, please wait outside or in your car.
Your therapist is aware of your scheduled appointment and may be completing a treatment with another client or preparing the clinic room for you. Please be patient whilst you await your therapist to greet you in reception.

New Clients

New clients will need to fill out a injury/treatment form at the front desk. All treatments conclude at the scheduled time.

Payment

Please be advised we only accept payment by card. All major cards are accepted.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation or rescheduling requires a minimum of 24 hours notice.

A cancellation fee may applies for late cancellations and no shows. For further details please read our details Cancellation Policy.

Late Arrival Policy

All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule therefore we regret that late arrivals may not receive extension of scheduled appointments. In special cases, and when our schedule will allow, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival.

No Show Policy

At Knots + Niggles Therapy, we understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life. Unforeseen events such as car problems, business meetings and children’s illnesses, are just a few reasons why one might consider cancelling a massage appointment.
However, we ask that you call if you cannot keep your appointment. Clients who fail to show for appointments repeatedly may be asked to pre-pay for future services.
It is important that our therapists are compensated for reserved time slots, and as such, you will be charged 100% of the treatment costs.

Outstanding Fees

We will not provide any further services to you while cancellation fees are outstanding.  Please note that private health insurers and other third party payers will not cover any cancellation fees which are incurred by you.

What is HICAPS?

HICAPS (Health Industry Claims and Payments Service), is a simple and fast electronic health claim system that enables people with private health funds to receive an instant rebate if applicable.
HICAPS covers most private health funds in Australia, and a large number of healthcare professionals.

How does it work?

HICAPS allows you to claim “on the spot” for Remedial Massage or Myotherapy by showing your health fund card when making the payment. The HICAPS machine will process your claim directly, and then you just simply pay the gap amount depending on the cover you have. The whole process is quick and effortless.

How to find out if your health insurer covers Remedial Massage or Myotherapy?

Your therapist does not know your Private Health rebate amount prior to treatment, only your Private Health Fund does. Please consult your Private Health Fund before visiting the clinic to ensure that you are able to claim a rebate on the service that you are booked in for and check your rebate amount.

Remember that to process Private Health Fund rebates immediately after your treatment at the clinic, you must bring your own physical Private Health Fund card with you. Your therapist will issue you a receipt upon processing which details your Private Health Fund rebate amount for the service".
